Edgar Platform
Edgar is an open-source toolkit built and maintained by the TrueSight DAO community. It helps grassroots social impact initiatives coordinate volunteer contributions, track impact, and manage community-driven governance—without the usual technical or financial barriers.
The problem
Most impact-focused initiatives have willing volunteers but lack the infrastructure to coordinate them effectively.
Many rely on volunteer time rather than fiat donations.
Wallet setup, gas fees, staking, and DAO governance models are confusing and often speculative, discouraging participation.
Off-the-shelf web platforms charge monthly fees, and custom blockchain solutions require expensive developers and server maintenance.
Blockchain vaults and governance tokens can be hacked, and wrong transactions can't be reversed.
The result? Good intentions stall because operations don't scale.
The solution
Edgar removes the friction by providing ready-to-use, open-source modules that any grassroots group can deploy.
Built on Google Sheets with simple copy-paste Google App Scripts, so no new software learning curve.
Transactions can be manually adjusted or reverted if something goes wrong.
Hosted via Google Sheets and GitHub, with minimal operating costs.
Anyone who can use a spreadsheet can coordinate contributions and governance.
Modules are publicly available, transparent, and continuously improved.
Edgar turns volunteer energy into measurable, scalable impact—without requiring crypto expertise or expensive infrastructure.
All Edgar modules are open-source and freely available. Contribute, fork, or deploy your own instance.
